Expedition – Back to the Source, Hoki ki nga waiora
Working with complex living systems, such as businesses, communities and places as ‘wholes', is simpler and more efficient than managing a ‘collection’ of parts. This calls on us to work as ‘whole people’, and engage with our ‘whole places’.
Cabal’s workshop with the senior team at Fletcher's was aimed at re-igniting multi-sensory connections that empower us in our work and help evolve the way we think about the role we each have in addressing the deep challenges of our age. The experience evoked powerful conversations within the group, connecting the challenges of day to day business, within a bigger context.
“Tough guys softened.”
“Barriers have fallen. We are more open.”
“We have broken down walls and are now communicating.”
“The true value of unity.”
“As a result of this my long term thoughts and goals have shifted.”
“Your ability to progressively allow people to express themselves is inspiring… It was bang on!”
“What inspired me was the togetherness, reflection on past experiences with connection to the core earth elements and how important they are in our daily lives. I feel more connected to the group and our purpose, which is not just about making lots of money. People are becoming more open with one another. It was enlightening. I felt all the emotion in the room.”
“I’ve seen others shift from scepticism to feeling empathy for others today.”
“Getting back to basics and acknowledging the elements. I feel more grounded.”
“Others have let their barriers drop and showed their softer sides. I feel more inspired that my contribution is important to others. I will contribute more to discussions.”
“People are more receptive than I anticipated. Open to feelings. It’s not all about money and targets. We need to make sure we are doing it in the right way.”
